lyrics
I think I’m gonna give myself a chance
Or maybe i’m gonna buy myself a gun
I know You baby won’t let me
Won’t You ever forgive me?
I'm gonna finish what You haven’t done
There's no One really Who can help me out
Don't look for
me cos i can’t be found
I know You baby won’t let me
Fast enough to save me?
I'm gonna finish what You haven’t done
I kept searching out
What was that about?
I'm not here to blame, to blame You now
for what drags me down
What do you want me to s
ay, to say this time?
for what drags me down
what drags me down
what drags me down
Living this Life i can't pretend
Look at your shitty life instead
you all drag me down
i never said i want you to understand
i never begged someone for respect
i ho
pe you baby won't let this
drag you down with me
I kept searching out
What was that about?
What do you want me to say, to say this time?
for what drags me down
what drags me down
what drags me down
Living this Life i can't pretend
Look at your s
hitty life instead
you all drag me down
all this back and forth
going on since we were born
i forgot or never learned
my bounds
These ballisticaly loaded tunes purposely deny a certain closure that is intended to keep one hitting the replay button. Well played Smirk, well played. jfpOne23
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
