lyrics
so it's all in my hands
man, a city might stand
and then i've broken my dreams
maybe my ego might shrink
bad? good? Whatever
I know this will let you down but I only thing I say is just be bop
I know what you're thinking but I all I have to say is be bop
it's a rocket man sent
in outer space he might land
Into a black and white screen
maybe my ego might shrink
bad ? good ? whatever
I know this will let you down but the only thing i say is just be bop
I know what you're thinking but I only say be bop
everybody's waiting for a Saturday night
but they're all the same only changing are the lies
that i told myself trying to follow my dreams
and my heart won't stop keep on chasing the beat
we can twist and shout and let it out
cos we'll never fade away
either scream out loud or choke inside
so i'm wearing these hats
and i'm shaking in my pants
and then i've broken my dreams
what my father might think
bad? good ? whatever

Opener absolutely rips. Falls into the ranks of tracks like “Dance” by ESG, “Eisbaer” by Grauzone, “Damaged Goods” by Gang of Four or like the album description says Kleenex. This is some really good stuff. Favorite song is the opener but dedicate “Blue” to my friend Blue who lost her life at 22, she would have loved this album. TheBloodofChrist

These ballisticaly loaded tunes purposely deny a certain closure that is intended to keep one hitting the replay button. Well played Smirk, well played. jfpOne23

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
